Final Reflection

Final Reflection

This team project has taught me many skills that I look forward to utilizing in my future career. Evidence-based practice is a systemic process that is meant for improved measurable outcomes of communities. This project has shown me the steps as a nurse that I can take to utilize this practice in real life examples. Our class project was divided into teams. This helped strengthen my team working capabilities. Overall, I had a very good experience with the team members that I was paired with this semester. This was the first experience that I believe all members of the group were putting their full effort into the project. We all set aside time to meet in person and would collaborate through each step of the process.  I now have a better idea on how teamwork flows when people are physically present with one another and utilize proper communication. With this experience, I have come to the realization that I thrive with communication as a team member. Without communication, teams will falter as misinterpretations are more common. Lack of communication also brings risk of some members working more so than others. With proper organization and meetings, group work should be well prepared for their final product. Therefore, communication in group work is key to success in Evidence-based practice.
