Active Reading Sample
After listening to the Ted Talk, given by Carol Dweck, I had been given the opportunity to review her speech by reading a transcript and annotating the data in order to support data in an essay. I now realize that I should have focused more time into annotating with notes and highlights, for I only have two comments on my papers, both of which, are questions. The types of questions that I had written ask why and how the process of the “yet” and “not yet” methods have been effective and what specific examples can be shown in real life experiences. Therefore I recognize that I am capable of asking questions about the text, but could use some growth in adding comments and selecting important pieces of information from the text.
